Congratulation to Dr. Ricky Reff for being the recipient of the prestigious Yakir Maccabi Award. Every 4 years since 1984, Maccabi World Union in Israel bestows its highest accolade; known as the “YAKIR MACCABI AWARD” to individuals for exemplary lifetime achievement and whose dedication to the Maccabi movement have profoundly enriched many lives.
Of the 135 individuals who have been honored with the Yakir Maccabi Award since its inception in 1984; Dr. Reff is the first physician to be so honored internationally. Dr. Reff has been head Physician for Team USA in multiple Maccabiah Games. In the last 2 Maccabiah Games (2013 and 2017), he has chaired the International Committee for Security, Safety, & Medical Services which had the responsibility to integrate and coordinate those 3 disciplines into a single operational concept of functioning in routine and emergency modes.
