Maya is a board-certified Occupational Therapist, and a Baltimore native. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Science from Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania. Maya completed her Doctor of Occupational Therapy at Gannon University, in Ruskin, Florida. She completed one of her orthopedic hand rotations at 360 Orthopedics, an outpatient clinic in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. As a part of her doctoral program, Maya completed a Doctoral Specialty Internship at University of Maryland Orthopeadics at Camden Yards where she gained her passion for treating traumatic upper extremity injuries. During this experience, Maya conducted research on the evidence supporting home programming used to manage symptoms of lateral epicondylitis. Maya plans to become a Certified Hand Therapist and is passionate about providing meaningful and evidence-based interventions to her patients. During her free time, Maya enjoys exploring new cities, working out, playing basketball, and hanging out with friends and family.
